
Step 1
Start by drawing a contoured bodice (= bodice with darts and with 0 wearing ease).
A full explanation on drafting it on personal measurements as well as a focus on corsets are included in our basic blocks course/module 2.
Make sure waist darts are shaped at underbust to fit it (as highligthed by the red lines), then mirror front to draw the asymmetric styleline.
Then:
- draw the line separating tshirt and corset: line starts on right armhole 2cm above armpit, curves upwards to meet right shoulder dart 6 to 9cm above bust point (depending on the coverage you prefer), crosses center front apprx at bust level and plunges to underbust approx at left waist dart, then continues straight at underbust level up to side seam
- widen right shoulder dart by 1cm at new neckline and connct this point to bust point (see the red line) and to high shoulder point (see the blue line). No need to change the other shoulder dart.
Cut through the line that separates tshirt and corset.
