Trace your basic dress with darts and zero to 4cm wearing ease on circumferences.
Our method for drafting perfectly made to measure basic blocks and for fitting them is included in our basic blocks course/module 1.

Draw back neckline from side seam 2 to 3cm below armpit to center back 2 to 4cm lower, then draw halter neck on front from matching level at side seam to front neckline 5 to 7cm below high shoulder point.

On back, widen upper part of darts so that you discard 1 to 2cm at back neckline.

On front, draw the V neckline from bust level in center front to neckline 3 to 4cm from center.

Cut through back neckline, then mirror back.

Make sure you mirror also the new dart lines.

Draw the slash line to separate bodice and skirt: line starts on left side seam 5 to 7cm below neckline, is slightly curved and ends on right side seam 6 to 8cm below waistline. Cut through the line.

On skirt, square down from darts bottom apexes.

Focus on back bodice. Cut through dart lines and tape them closed.
