Jacket with front twist

4.5/5

This is a super fun pattern: it spices up jacket things a bit as it has a front twist and side cutouts that balance the very classic style of shoulder pads and lapel.

We suggest a light to medium weight crepe or cady with lightweight fusible interlining to add little support to front and facing.

Step 1

Start from a basic block with total width as half of bust circumference plus 8cm.

Draw shoulder slope and necklines as usual.

Step 2

Shape center back at waistline by 2cm inwards, square down to the hem and blend to original center back at shoulder blades level.

Step 3

Drop armhole by 2 to 3cm.
