Jeans jacket

4.5/5

Let's draft the pattern for this trendy jeans jacket.

It combines the classic details (yoke, topstitching, pocket with flap, collar..) to an unusual flared volume at hemline.

To draft the pattern, start from a bodice block with darts and regular ease.

Step 1

First, trace front and back and change shoulder line: lengthen back by 1,5cm redrawing shoulder and neckline, and drop front shoulder by the same amount.

Step 2

Then extend shoulder line outwards by 4 to 6cm and drop shoulder point by 1cm.

Draw the dropped shoulder line slightly rounded at outer edge.

Step 3

Drop 4 to 6cm at armhole, then move outwards a similar amount and redraw armholes.
