Jersey top and pants

Let's see how to draft the pattern of this set.

You can sew it in any knit - from jersey to lycra, but it should be a stretch fabric.

Start from a basic block with darts for bodice and a basic pant pattern, both with zero or negative ease.

Step 1

On front bodice, first draw the new neckline and shoulder strap 1cm wide, approximately halfway in shoulder line.

Draw the top hemline a bit slanted downwards to side seam.

Widen waist dart at top hem so that it is 3cm wide at it, then redraw it up to bust point.

Step 2

Cut through neckline and hemline, then draw a line from bust point perpendicular to center front and cut through it.

Step 3

Close both darts opening their volume into the slash line, then draw an additional slash line from side seam (approx 3cm above the hem) to center front, few cm below the other line.

Cut through this line.
