Let's draft together the pattern of this amazing jumpsuit.
You will need a drapey fabric, such as cady, crepe, satin...in silk, viscose or a blend with polyester and a minimum amount of stretch.
Prepare a basic block with appropriate ease allowance.
Start from the basic bodice: mirror both back and front to have them full.
Keep the line of the center.
Get the back: discard the waist darts from the center, as if you were doing a fisheye dart on a fitted dress.
Draw also the new neckline from the right shoulder to the left armhole.
Trace the two separate halves.
Get the center front and draw the asymmetrical neckline.
Then widen the shoulder dart by 1cm at the off shoulder side. This keeps the neckline tighter to the chest 😉
Draw the slanted slash lines for the dart manipulation: one starts from the right shoulder – approximately halfway – to the left bust point, then two more lines – one from each bust point to their side seam.
