Raglan blouse with pleat

4.5/5

Let's draft the pattern for this blouse, that features an interesting manipulation into raglan sleeves and front pleats.

It's perfect in any light to medium weight fabric, would look great in organza as well as in denim.

To create the pattern, start from a basic block with darts and basic wearing ease (we suggest 8 to 10cm at bust circ). We worked on raglan construction also in this course.

Step 1

Trace back and front and drop armhole by 4 to 6cm, then widen by 2 to 4cm.

Square down from the new armpit points to hipline.

Step 2

Redraw both armholes and measure both of them.

Step 3

On back neckline measure 4 to 5cm from high shoulder point and connect the new point to armpit.

On front neckline measure 3 to 4cm from high shoulder point and connect the new point to armpit.
