Let’s draft the pattern of this blouse.
Start from a basic block with darts.
You can learn our method for drafting perfectly made to measure basic blocks (contoured ones, and the ones with wearing ease) and for fitting them in our basic blocks course/module 1.
On front move the waist dart closer to the side.
Draw the collar line and draw the parallel to center front for the sheer part and the slash lines for the dart manipulation.
Trace front, close shoulder dart on it and move it into the slanted slash line, then trace front collar and center front piece.
Trace also a copy of the whole front as is to draw the flounce shape.
On the copy of your front draw the flounce as it should look in the finished garment.
Trace the flounce drawing it open: you are basically starting from armpit and side seam, then working in direction to center front and flipping paper every time you meet a fold line.
a stiff fabric as a double organza is just perfect to hold that volume!
Your new pattern is ready: front, back, center front, collar, rouche.
