Skirt with cutout and flounce
Today's tutorial is about this mini skirt. It features interesting details like cut-outs and flounce.
You can sew it in a plaid as this one or in any woolen fabric adding lining, or in lighter fabric for a summer look.
Start from a basic skirt with darts and small wearing ease (we suggest 2cm on waist circumference and 2cm on hip one).

Step 2
On both back and front draw the slash lines as you see in the image:
- the first one starts in center and is slanted upward toward side seam – it crosses the dart on back and dart apex on front
- the second one starts from the outer section of the first and is slanted downward to side seam
- the third one is parallel to the first one and intersects the second
(it’s harder to explain than to draw them!)
