Square circle skirt

This is a very easy make but the effect is extremely nice.

It's a variation of a circle skirt.

You need a piece of fabric approximately twice the maximum skirt length + 40cm. Stiff or drapey, it depends on the effect you want to achieve. The one in the photo is a bit stiff medium weight woven fabric, it could be gabardine or denim.

Step 1

Draw half a circle whose radius is 1/6 of the waist circumference.

The vertical line on top and bottom of the circle are the front and back skirt length – see the colored arrows.

Choose the side length (we suggest half of the front one) and draw it as a horizontal line from the center of the circle.

Square up and down to close the shape.
