It's a quick make that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion, and is perfect to use some remnants from other projects - as silk satin leftovers of a previous dress!

To draft the pattern, start from a basic block with darts and minimum 6cm ease at bust circumference.
Straighten side seam so that waist width matches bust one, then draw V neckline on front (shoulder strap being 3 to 4cm wide) and round neckline on back.
Cut on the new neckline, then draw the reversed U shape on side seam from waist downwards.
Cut through the U line, then draw a slash line on front that reaches bust point.
Cut through slash line and close shoulder dart.
