V-neck short shirt

Let's draft together the pattern of this trendy shirt.

Start from a basic bodice with darts.

Step 1

On both back and front draw the new neckline and the underbust line-straight on the back, slanted on the front.

Both waist darts will be closed in next step, while the upper part of the dart in back bodice is discarded from the center.

Get also a basic sleeve, draw the slash lines for the volume and the cuff line.

Step 2

Cut through the bodice lines: you will get back bodice, back waistband with dart closed, front bodice with dart opened at the underbust, front waistband with dart closed.

Step 3

Get the front bodice and draw 3 slash lines starting from the shoulder and going to the underbust.

These are needed to add the volume.

Step 4

Cut through the lines, add 2-3cm to the shoulder part, then redraw the whole piece marking the shoulder and underbust gathering.

Step 5

Get the sleeve, cut through the lines and add 4-5cm in each cut and to the sides.

Redraw the sleeve. cut through the center of the cuff and open 1,5cm, redraw the shape.

Step 6

This is the finished pattern: back and front bodices and waistbands, sleeve, cuff.
